Privacy Policy

Version 0.8 · effective 2026-10-11

Draft. Pending legal review.

In plain words

  • We collect what the app needs to work: your account, your units and cleans, the photos and reports of a clean, your messages and ratings, and payment records. Card and bank numbers go to Stripe, not to us.
  • Other users see only what the app's rules let them see. A cleaner sees a unit's address only after the host has approved them. Until two people are on a clean together they see each other's first name and last initial.
  • We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or track you across other apps. There are no ads.
  • If you clean, we keep where you work: a point you confirm, rounded to about 3 miles, how far you travel, and the area in your own words. Never your home address, and never where you are: the board uses your phone's rounded position only while you look at it, and we don't store it.
  • If you clean and turn your public page on, it shows your first name and last initial, your area, your badges, your plan if you choose to show it (“ResiSet Plus” or “ResiSet Pro”) and your reviews, each with the host's first name. A host can take their review off it. Nothing more is on the web unless you turn the page on.
  • If you clean, you also have a business page at a random address, which is the website Stripe holds for your business: your first name and last initial, the month you joined, and the same words for everyone about your services, prices, cancellations and how to reach you. Search engines are told not to list it.
  • If you turn texts on, your mobile number is used only for texts about your cleans. Nobody else in the app sees it, and it is never shared for marketing.
  • If you connect ResiSet to an AI assistant such as Claude, its maker receives what you ask it to read, under that maker's own terms.
  • Reports and their photos are deleted 3 months after the report on the Free plan and 3 years on Plus and Pro, by the plan of whoever owns the place. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
  • You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Write to us or ask from the app.

This summary is here to help. The full text below is what counts.

1. Who is responsible

TRAN CAP LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY ("Tran Cap LLC", "we"), a California limited liability company, publishes ResiSet and decides how your information is used.

2. What we collect, and where it comes from

From you, when you set up and use your account

  • Account: your name, email address, whether you use ResiSet as a host or a cleaner, and a profile picture if you add one.
  • Where you work, if you clean: a point you confirm on a map, rounded to about 3 miles before it is stored, how far you travel, the state, the city, your phone's time zone, and the area in your own words. It is never your home address and never where you are, and it changes only when you change it.
  • Your public page, if you clean and turn it on: its address (your handle), whether it's on, and whether search engines may list it. If you clean on Plus or Pro: whether you show your plan on your profile and public page.
  • Units (hosts): name, address, size, description, entry instructions, cover and reference photos, checklist, the link to the unit's calendar if you paste one, and the unit's time zone.
  • Cleans: dates, cleaning windows, prices, notes, requests, rate proposals, who was booked, and who helped.
  • Turnover reports (cleaners): the photos you take on arrival and on leaving, your checklist ticks, what you report as damaged or needing repair, and your notes.
  • A post made from a report: the one after-cleaning photo the host picked and how they framed it, and the name, rating, area and code the cleaner chose to put under it. We also record which app the cleaner shared it to, for counts. We post nothing anywhere.
  • Messages you send to the other side of a clean, with any photos and videos you add to them.
  • Your notifications: what each one was about (the clean, the conversation, the other person's name) and whether you checked it off.
  • Ratings, tags and reviews you give.
  • Videos: a host's short video about a place, and a cleaner's short introduction, if you add one.
  • Whether a place posts cleans on its own after a check-out, and its usual hours for that.
  • Support requests you send us, and reports you make about a person, a clean or a photo.
  • Who you have blocked.
  • Codes you enter, whose referral code you signed up with, and the plan time they gave you.
  • Connected apps, if you connect one (such as Claude): which app, when you allowed it, and for each use the tool, whether it worked and when, never what was asked or answered.
  • Texts, if you turn them on: your mobile number, when it was checked with a code, when you agreed to texts and the words you agreed to, the language of your texts, if and how you said stop, the texts we sent you, and what you replied.
  • Your legal choices: which version of the Terms and the other texts you accepted, when, and in which language; and whether you opted out of arbitration, when and how.

From payments

  • Amounts, dates, what was paid to whom, Stripe's fee on it, and the identifiers Stripe gives us for a host's saved card, a cleaner's Stripe account, a hold, a charge, a refund and a dispute. The host's card is charged on the cleaner's own Stripe account: Stripe is the cleaner's payment processor, and holds the cleaner's business and bank details.
  • Never card numbers, bank account numbers or the identity documents a cleaner gives Stripe. Stripe holds those.

From an ID check, if a cleaner chooses one

  • Stripe Identity takes the photo of the ID document and a selfie, and compares the face in one with the face in the other (face matching). For the badge we also compare the name Stripe read from the ID with the name on the account and on the Stripe account; we use it only for that comparison and don't keep it. We keep only the outcome and when it passed. We never receive the photos or the face data, and keep none of the document's details; Stripe keeps them for as long as its own privacy policy says.

From your phone

  • Location: if you are a cleaner and allow it, your phone's approximate position, rounded to about 2 kilometres, while the board or the map is on your screen, to show cleans by distance. It is sent with that request, used at that moment and not stored, and it is never sent from other screens or while the app is in the background. If you don't allow it, the board uses the point you confirmed as where you work.
  • Device and diagnostic information: the app version you send with a support request, and the technical logs our servers keep of each request (the time, your IP address and what was asked for).
  • We do not read your contacts, your photo library beyond the photos you choose, or anything from other apps.

From a calendar link you paste

  • The dates of bookings and their reservation codes, read only, to suggest cleans, and the check-out dates alone, to tell how busy an area is.

About guests

  • We keep a stay's reservation code and, if the calendar gives a guest's name or a cleaner types it into a report, only the guest's first name and the first letter of their last name ("Jordan L."); the full name is never kept. We also keep what a cleaner notes about the stay (for example "more guests than booked"). They are part of the clean and its report, seen only by the people on the clean and the people who run the place, and kept as long as the report is. A report's PDF file name never carries a guest's name.

3. Why we use it

WhatWhy
Account detailsTo create your account, sign you in and show others who you are within the app's rules.
Units, cleans, requestsTo run the marketplace: show cleans to cleaners, show requests to hosts, book the work.
Where you workTo show you cleans within reach; to count the cleaners within reach of a place, so a host knows whether anyone can come (a count, never who); to tell whether an area needs more cleaners or more cleans; and to prefill the area on your public page.
Reports and photosTo deliver the report to the host, keep the repairs list, and settle questions about a clean.
MessagesTo let the two sides of a clean talk, and to look into a report of abuse.
Ratings, tags and reviewsTo show how hosts and cleaners have rated each other, in the app and, for a cleaner who turns their public page on, on that page with the host's first name and the month.
VideosTo show the place's video to the cleaner booked there, and a cleaner's introduction to hosts.
ID check outcomeTo show "ID verified" on a cleaner's profile, requests and public page.
Payment recordsTo record the payments hosts make to cleaners through Stripe, show each side what was paid, help with refunds and disputes, and keep the records the law requires. Stripe issues the receipts and the tax forms.
LocationTo show the board by distance while a cleaner is looking at it. Nothing else.
Check-out datesTo suggest cleans, and to count how many cleans an area will have.
Connected appsTo let an app you connected, such as Claude, do what you ask it to with your account, within what the connector allows, and to limit how often it may ask.
Mobile number and textsOnly to send the texts you turned on (a cleaner's day-before check; a host's news about their cleaner, about a cleaner joining near their place, and about a clean nobody has asked for) and to read your replies: YES confirms, NO gives the clean back, STOP stops the texts. Nothing else.
Plan and plan timeTo know what your plan includes, and to give the plan time a code, a referral or an offer earned you.
Legal choicesTo know which texts you accepted and whether you opted out of arbitration.
Device information and server logsTo fix faults and keep the service secure.
Support requestsTo answer you.

We use your information to provide the service you asked for, to meet our legal duties (tax and payment records), and to keep the service and its users safe. We do not use it for advertising or to build profiles for anyone else.

4. What other users can see

These are commitments, and the service is built to keep them:

  • Names. Until you are on a booked clean with someone, on the same unit as a co-host, or in the same team, they see your first name and last initial. After that they see your whole name and your profile picture.
  • Addresses. A unit's street address and entry instructions are shown to a cleaner only after the host has approved them for a clean. Before that the board and map show a location blurred to about 2 kilometres.
  • Where a cleaner works is never shown to anyone. A host sees how many cleaners can reach a place, and how far away a cleaner who asked for a clean is, in miles; never a point, an address or a map of cleaners.
  • Listings. Size, rooms, description and cover photos are shown to signed-in cleaners. The host chooses whether the photo list, reference photos and checklist show before approval.
  • Reports and their photos are seen by the people who cleaned and the people who run the unit.
  • A post from a report is seen by the host who made it and the cleaner it is for. What the cleaner then shares, they share publicly themselves, as the app drew it: the photo, their name, and the rating, area and code they chose. Nothing on it names the place or the day. A review card is the same: the host's words and first name, shared by the cleaner.
  • Messages are seen by the two sides of the clean they belong to. A reply to one of our texts that isn't YES, NO or a stop goes into the clean's conversation, marked "by text", so the host reads it there.
  • Your AI assistant. If a host connects ResiSet to an assistant such as Claude, messages a cleaner wrote to that host, and what a cleaner wrote in a report for them, can reach the host's assistant when the host asks for them. The assistant never reaches phone numbers, door codes, the way in, calendar links, guests' names or payment details.
  • Your mobile number is never shown to other users, and no part of the app hands it to anyone. Hosts see only whether their cleaner has confirmed.
  • Ratings, tags and reviews are seen by signed-in users. So is a count of how often in the last 90 days a cleaner did not come to a booked clean, how often they gave one back at short notice, and how often a host called a booked clean off at short notice.
  • A cleaner's public page. If a cleaner turns it on, anyone on the web can see their first name and last initial, their area in their own words, their badges (ID verified, cleans done, their rating, when they joined, the tags hosts gave most), their plan if they chose to show it (“ResiSet Plus” or “ResiSet Pro”) and every review hosts gave them, each with the host's first name and the month, never the host's full name, place or address. The cleaner chooses whether search engines may list it. A host can take their own review off the page at any time; it stays in the app. A review written before the host accepted Terms 0.8 stays off the page until they accept them. The page is never on for a paused account.
  • A cleaner's business page. Every cleaner, on every plan, has a page at resiset.com/c/ and a random code, given at sign-up and never changed, which ResiSet gives Stripe as the website of the cleaner's business. Anyone with the address can see the cleaner's first name and last initial, the month they joined, and the same text for every cleaner about the services, prices in US dollars, how payment works, cancellations and refunds, and how to reach the cleaner and ResiSet. No area, badges, reviews or handle. Search engines are told not to list it. It stays while the account is paused, because Stripe holds the address, and goes when the account is deleted.
  • Referrals. If you sign up with someone's code, they are told that one more person has, not who.
  • Blocks. If you block someone, they are not told. Neither of you sees the other's cleans or requests afterwards.
  • What a cleaner earns is not shown to anyone outside the clean. Stripe's fee on it is shown to the cleaner only.
  • Calendar links are seen by the host and the place's co-hosts, not by cleaners.
  • Videos. A place's video is seen by the people who run the place and by a cleaner once booked there. A cleaner's introduction is seen by signed-in users, like a profile.
  • ID verified. Signed-in users, and the public page if it's on, see whether a cleaner's ID check passed, nothing more.
  • A cleaner's plan. If a cleaner on Plus or Pro turns it on, hosts see “ResiSet Plus” or “ResiSet Pro” on their profile, and on their public page if it's on. It says only that they have the plan, never what they paid or anything about their work. It shows nowhere else, and nothing else about anyone's plan is shown to other users.

5. Who we share it with

  • Stripe, which processes the host's payment to the cleaner on the cleaner's own Stripe account, holds the host's saved card, checks the cleaner's identity for their account, and runs the ID check a cleaner can choose (Stripe Identity). For the payment, Stripe is the cleaner's processor, not ours; Stripe's own privacy policy applies to what you give Stripe.
  • Supabase, which hosts our database, sign-in and photo storage.
  • Cloudflare, which serves resiset.com, including a cleaner's public page, and keeps a copy of a page for a few minutes.
  • The maker of an AI assistant you connect, such as Anthropic for Claude: it receives what you ask the assistant to read through ResiSet, under its own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect it at any time in Profile › Connected apps.
  • Twilio, which sends and receives our texts and checks a number with a code, if you turn texts on. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Apple, to deliver notifications, and for a host's or a cleaner's subscription, which is bought through the App Store. Apple tells us that a subscription is active, not how you paid.
  • Authorities or courts, when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
  • A company that takes over ResiSet, if it is sold or merged, or moved to a company set up to run it, under the same commitments.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by others. There is no advertising in ResiSet. Because we don't track anyone across sites, there is nothing for a browser's "Do Not Track" signal to switch off, so we don't act on it.

6. How long we keep it

WhatHow long
Account detailsWhile your account exists.
Where you workUntil you change it, or delete your account.
Turnover reports and their photosBy the plan of whoever owns the place, counted from the report: 3 months on Free, 3 years on Plus and Pro; then deleted. A move to a smaller plan shortens it for reports already kept. Copies you saved on your phone or as PDFs stay with you.
A post made from a reportGoes when its report does, or when the host takes it back. An image the cleaner already shared or saved is theirs.
Messages, with their photos and videos12 months after the clean closes.
Notifications90 days.
VideosUntil you remove them, or your account or the place is deleted.
ID check outcomeWhile the account exists.
Payment records7 years, as tax law requires. After an account is deleted they are kept without the name: amounts, dates and Stripe identifiers only.
Check-out dates from a calendarUntil the date has passed.
Support requests2 years after they are closed.
Subscription status and plan timeWhile the account exists. The purchase itself is between you and Apple.
Legal choicesWhile the account exists.
Server logsUp to 90 days.
Mobile numberUntil you remove it, or delete your account.
Texts sent and received90 days.
What a connected app used90 days: the tool and the time, never what was asked or answered.

When you delete your account, everything we are not required to keep is removed within 30 days, and your public page and business page go with it.

7. Your rights in California

If you live in California you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, what we use it for and who we share it with.
  • Delete it, subject to what the law requires us to keep.
  • Correct it if it is wrong.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing. There is nothing to opt out of: we do neither.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use your phone's approximate position only to show the board by distance, where you work only as section 3 says, and account sign-in details only to sign you in.
  • Not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

To use them, write to [email protected] or send a request from Help in the app. We will ask you to confirm the request from your account's email address so we know it is you. Someone you authorise in writing may ask for you. We answer within 45 days, and tell you if we need up to 45 more.

People in other US states with similar laws may use the same rights in the same way.

8. Children

ResiSet is for adults. You must be 18 or over to have an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.

9. Security

  • Everything travels encrypted between your phone and our servers, and is encrypted where it is stored.
  • The database decides, row by row, who may read what; the app cannot ask for more than its user is allowed.
  • Photos are kept in private storage and handed out only to the people the rules above allow.
  • Each day a cleaner is handed a unit's address and entry instructions, a note of it is kept: which clean, which cleaner, which day.
  • A public page is made from one small set of fields the database hands out by handle, and a business page from three (the code, the name hosts see, the month joined) handed out by code; nothing else about the cleaner can be read that way.
  • No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects you, we tell you as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell you in the app at least 14 days before, with a summary of what changed.

11. Notice at collection

When you create an account we collect your name, your email address and whether you are a host or a cleaner, to set up your account and run the service; if you clean, also where you work, rounded, to show you cleans within reach. Later, as you use ResiSet, we collect the information listed in section 2 for the purposes in section 3. We keep it for the periods in section 6. We do not sell it and do not share it for advertising. Your rights are in section 7.
